This study will identify and analyze the barriers for travellers with cognitive disabilities and their care partners throughout the airport experience. This includes planning for arrival, check-in, security, customs, and waiting time at airports of various sizes.
Our goal is to influence accessibility standards in Canadian airports, reducing barriers and promoting best practices. By shaping these standards and improving employee training, this project seeks to help airports better support these travellers.
